Unfamiliar with Systemic Work?

Almost any request can be placed in a systemic context: The explored environment can be the inner landscape, relations within the family and/or work situation, the housing situation and also combinations of all. The client asks other participants to represent a person who, or an aspect that plays a role in her or his situation. When the representers find their place in the room (status quo) we will witness how the relations between the invited aspects actually are. Sometimes we find that aspects are missing. Often this leads to a surprising insight and this makes an appropriate response possible. Such responses can be 'tested', as to see how an environment might react to a change in the 'fixated' existing coherence patterns between individual members. The constellations are representations and offer a way to explore a clients' authentic primary responses which are often buried under secondary reasoning.

A Constellation shows a dynamic perspective; The clients' most inner response is the Work.

We take the time it needs. There is beauty in the slow unfolding.

We do trust what happens in the 'knowing field' that appears through the representations, if we give it all the time it needs to unfold. Sometimes it may look like nothing happens at all, like a 'stand still', but hidden dynamics need the time it takes to surface, to enable us to grasp the full perspective.

How does it work?

One often hears about constellation work that no one really knows how it works; however, I believe that it is very well possible to explain it; in fact there is a great and fascinating logic in its 'mechanics'. Such and other explanations are dealt with in the Constellation Workshops, which include introduction, introductory exercises and of course constellations and Q&A. I feel that it is essential to understand this beautiful work as much as possible because the understanding of it has its own unique effect.

Why combine PureCranio and Systemic Work?

Systemic (Family) Constellation Work is a special modality based on Phenomenology, a science in Observation and Perception. Edmund Husserl described it as a basis for transcendental consciousness around 1900, and this led to groundbreaking scientific studies into the existence of the 'Knowing Field', and the Akasha chronicles. Around 1960, Virginia Satir received recognition for her Family Therapy. From the 1970's on, Bert Hellinger developed Family Constellations, which grew in their application far beyond the core family therapy. Many therapists and practitioners from various modalities followed and furthered the development, with Stephan Hausner being one of the most well-known facilitators at the moment. The history of systemic work is thus a long history. Even Husserl didn't have all his insights by himself; he was inspired by the work of philosopher Brentano in the early 1900's. Systemic Work has mostly focused on 'stasis' or standstill in dynamic processes, maybe because we all like to see things in Flow. It appears to have moved from an open interest to a focus on trauma. In the PureCranio/Constellations, we focus on the healing potential of any dynamic.

Where is the link with PureCranio?

Craniosacral therapeutic techniques became with William Garner Sutherland (student of Andrew Taylor Still's Osteopathy), Cranial Osteopathy, and from there via the Upledger approach and the BioDynamic approach into a therapeutic discipline on its own, recognized worldwide.

Soon after the start of my practice, it became clear that clients come because they can't find an answer to their quest for a better quality of life, be it because of a more physical or a more mental problem. With PureCranio, we can indeed improve or solve many such issues permanently after the client goes through a deeper release. We turned it 'around' and started to explore possible intentions that cause of thoughts, questions, statements, stances, and from there on physical responses. We developed specific sensing for this reason alone; it is like finding the spark of an intentional initiative. Often, we 'landed' in the complexity of family life while engaged in a hands-on PureCranio session. If complaints can't improve via PureCranio, we include systemic aspects or arrange a systemic family constellation with representations for aspects of the clients' request with the aim of gaining a wider perspective.

Our systemic constellation work is based on a sensitivity developed during years of experience and deep observation both in PureCranio, in Systemic Work during PureCranio sessions and in Systemic Constellations with groups.

We are forming a group, you are most welcome!
